It guarantees that every glass poured is the same freshness and quality as the one poured before it. The wines featured rotate occasionally but consist of local Texas, domestic and international wines that range in type from sparkling, white, rosé and red.In addition to a great glass of wine while at the Haus, the wines on tap can also be available to go via wine growlers, which are equivalent to a full size bottle of wine.

All you have to do is purchase the growler once, and bring it back each time you are ready to fill it up. Buying wines in a growler provide an even bigger savings than by the glass. The WineHaus is also the only place currently in Texas offering party wine kegs that can be pre-ordered in either half kegs (12 bottle equivalent) or full kegs (25 bottle equivalent) for your next event or gathering. Currently the only wines available in party kegs are the local Texas wines and Prosecco.*Inquire for complete pricing and wine options for party kegs. Kegs are pre-order only and require a 14 day advance notice. A $75 deposit for a 48 hour tap rental per keg is due at the time of keg pick up, $25 will be returned when tap(s) are returned in the same condition.Drink What YOU Like TagsAirport Wine Bar, Becker Vineyards, Cab Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Texas Wine My flight out of DFW this evening was delayed which gave me the opportunity to spend some time at the La Bodega Wine Bar in the D international terminal (there is also a La Bodega location in terminal A).

I started with the ‘house’ white, La Bodega Reserve Chardonnay 2005. The nose was filled with fresh tropical fruit aromas and butter. In the mouth I tasted wet straw which is consistent with a similar taste I’ve experienced with a Texas Sauvignon Blanc I had here at La Bodega a few months ago. I liked the tropical fruit finish on this one.
best wine bar kuala lumpur I finished my visit to La Bodega with two reds recommended by Harrison, the Wineologist on duty (seriously, that was the title on his name tag).

wine bar la centerraOn the nose I found baked blackberry, dark currant and plum aromas. This wine really made me want a blackberry or blueberry pie.

More dark fruits in the mouth as well as some cedar. The finish was a bit ‘hot’ which leads me to believe that this wine is north of the 14.4% alcohol stated on the label. Not much else on the finish. This win is made by Llano Estacado winery located near Lubbock, TX. Texas version of the ‘Super Tuscan.’ A blend of 71% cabernet sauvignon and 29% sangiovese. On the nose I immediately picked up a metallic component almost like rusty nail as well as slight herbal and sour cherry aromas. The sour cherry component was prominent in the mouth with weak tannins. On my next trip to Texas in December I plan on visiting several wineries to learn more about Texas wines. If you’ve never tried Texas wines, pick one up at to expand your tasting experiences.
